After many years in strategic leadership roles across global institutions—spanning project management, management sciences, and complex systems—I chose early retirement from corporate life to follow a more soul-guided path. If we could understand people’s reactions from their state of being, then it would be easy to rise above the fray to someone’s intentionally hurtful verbal reaction to our pure action. Where “rise above the fray” is to deal well with an unpleasant situation. An empowered soul would not succumb to limiting emotions, the likes of hatred; revenge; anger etc. in their response.
